Jemimah has had a tummy bug so not up for having pics taken of her. :(
So in case you're not local, most of the UK has had a fair bit of snowfall. A good 6-8 inches has probably fallen where we are. We have been out in it a bit, but tiny fingers & toes just can't cope in it for too long. So we've been quite happy to snuggle by the fire, me with my crochet, girls playing, reading and watching some good ole' telly. :)
Some favourite instagram shots from the past few days.
I'm hardly a purist when it comes to photography, if I can capture a moment, whether it be with my analog camera, my DSLR or my phone... I'm happy. And with such great photo editing apps (I use 'afterglow') it means I can do what I love in the minimum amount of time.. ideal for a busy mama like me. :)
If you're on instagram then look me up, I'm carolyn_carter
We got a sprinkling of snow and it was gone by lunch time... Anyone do better than that?
It's bloomin' cold that's for sure. I'm currently sat wrapped up in a woolly blanket & a pair wrist warmers so I can type and stay warm! Gonna get me a hot drink in a mo to warm me insides i think.... :)
The girls had a pretty magical time over Christmas...
... at the cathedral on Christmas eve singing 'away in a manger' was a highlight for me. And watching Jemimah trying her bestest to sing along without knowing a single word... sweet gal! ;)
Now we are well into 2013. Decorations have been put away leaving the house feeling a little sparse... but it feels good to clear away some of the clutter Christmas brings and create some space for the new year. There's something good about a clean slate to springboard from... don't you think?
I'm doing a sale over at my shop ... my 2013 calendars are half price - only £5, absolute bargain! ;) The remaining few need nice homes to go to... so order soon!
Thanks for all your support in 2012, for buying my stuff and the general encouragement I have received... to know that you actually like it is enough for me!
I've really enjoyed reading all the lovely comments that have been left on here (*thank you*) and have been inspired by other bloggers and creative people that I've come across from around the web too. Isn't it such a fantastic tool? It just gets better.
The celebrations are ongoing over here with David turning the big four 0 this Friday... closely followed by my (much less significant) birthday next week... the fun has only just begun! :)
